about

Emboldened by people actually liking The Meter Glows, we set out to do better.

We got a preamp. We abandoned the four track. We asked friends who knew how to play cool instruments (or sing better) to join us.

Roomful of Lions marks the moment we figured out how to do what we wanted to do. Every song is its own world - each world is taken to its maximum beauty. This, if anything, could be the summary of our recording philosophy - treat each song as its own precious jewel, to cut and polish according to the way only it calls to you.

Park the Van Records had just signed our friends Dr Dog, and they really liked National Eye too - we were happy about that. We're grateful for all their help!
